Starting with the Roots

Every single thing must start from something. Every single person stems from a line of someones that did some things and came from somewhere. Fertile soil grows from knowing your roots and furthermore, accepting those roots. It is sometimes difficult to trace your roots unless those roots flow with gold. Harder yet is accepting those roots. Learning about my family’s roots has been somewhat challenging. My father’s genesis comes from poor southern Italians who migrated to New York in the early 20th century.
